Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 February 2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GlowBook platform, operated by GlowBook Ltd ("GlowBook", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of GlowBook after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or on-platform notice.
2. Service Description
GlowBook is an online marketplace that connects clients seeking beauty and wellness services with independent service providers. Our platform offers two booking models:
- Direct booking: clients browse provider profiles, view services and pricing, and book appointments directly.
- Job requests: clients post a service request describing what they need, and providers submit proposals with pricing and availability.
GlowBook acts as an intermediary platform. Providers are independent professionals and are not employees, agents, or representatives of GlowBook. We do not perform beauty or wellness services ourselves.
3. User Accounts
To use GlowBook, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Not create multiple accounts or share your account with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. GlowBook reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Booking Terms
When you make a booking through GlowBook, you enter into a service agreement directly with the provider. GlowBook facilitates the booking but is not a party to the service contract between client and provider.
- Bookings are confirmed once payment is successfully processed and the provider accepts the appointment.
- Booking times are subject to provider availability. Same-day and next-day bookings may have additional restrictions (see provider cut-off times).
- You must provide accurate service location and contact details for your booking.
- Booking modifications are subject to provider approval and may incur additional charges.
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are governed by the following rules:
- Free cancellation: cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment for a full refund.
- Late cancellation: cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee (up to 50% of the booking total).
- No-show: if you fail to be available at the agreed time and location, the full booking amount may be charged.
- Provider cancellation: if a provider cancels, you will receive a full refund automatically.
Individual providers may have stricter cancellation policies displayed on their profile. The more restrictive policy applies.
6. Payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- Prices displayed on the platform are in the provider's listed currency and include the GlowBook service fee.
- Payment is held securely until the service is completed. Funds are released to the provider after service confirmation.
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
- Tips are optional and go directly to the provider (less payment processing fees).
- GlowBook charges a platform commission on each booking. The current rate is displayed to providers in their dashboard.
7. Provider Obligations
As a provider on GlowBook, you agree to:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date profile information, including services, pricing, and availability.
- Hold all necessary licences, certifications, and insurance required for the services you offer.
- Deliver services professionally, on time, and to the standard described in your listing.
- Use clean, safe, and professional-grade equipment and products.
- Communicate promptly with clients regarding bookings and any changes.
- Not solicit clients to transact outside the GlowBook platform for services originally booked through GlowBook.

- Only review services you have actually received through GlowBook
- Be honest, fair, and respectful in your feedback
- Not include personal information, discriminatory language, or threats
- Not offer or accept incentives in exchange for positive reviews
GlowBook reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines or our community standards.
10. Intellectual Property
The GlowBook platform, including its design, code, branding, logos, and content, is owned by GlowBook Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without permission
- Use the GlowBook name or logo without prior written consent
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform by automated means
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to access the source code
By uploading content (photos, descriptions, reviews), you grant GlowBook a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the platform. You retain ownership of your content and may request its removal at any time.
11. Limitation of Liability
GlowBook provides the platform "as is" and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered by providers. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- GlowBook is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or services received through it.
- Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to GlowBook in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or conduct of providers or clients, whether online or offline.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Satisfaction Guarantee
GlowBook offers a satisfaction guarantee on eligible bookings. If you are not satisfied with the service received, you may request a free redo within 48 hours of the original service or a full refund, subject to our Guarantee Policy. The guarantee does not cover situations where the client failed to provide accurate information or was unavailable for the appointment.
13. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between a client and a provider:
- We encourage both parties to resolve the issue directly through the GlowBook messaging system.
- If direct resolution fails, either party may escalate the dispute to GlowBook support. We will review the evidence and make a binding decision regarding refunds or other remedies.
- GlowBook's dispute resolution decisions are final with respect to platform-held funds.
- For claims that cannot be resolved through our internal process, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use GlowBook to:
- Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
- Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
- Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment processing
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform or its security
- Create accounts using false identities or automated methods
- Advertise or promote competing services on the platform
15. Termination
You may close your account at any time through your Account Settings. Account deletion is subject to a 30-day grace period during which you can reactivate your account.
GlowBook may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. We will provide notice where practicable. Upon termination:
- Any pending bookings will be cancelled and refunded to clients.
- Outstanding provider earnings will be paid out within 30 days, subject to any disputes or chargebacks.
