For Clients
How do I book a treatment?
Browse our marketplace by service type or location, pick a specialist whose profile and reviews you like, choose a date and time that works for you, then confirm your booking with a secure payment. You will receive a booking confirmation by email straight away.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) processed securely through Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also available where supported by your device.
Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?
Yes. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the appointment receive a full refund. Late cancellations (within 24 hours) may incur a fee of up to 50%. You can reschedule from your bookings page, subject to provider availability.
What is the satisfaction guarantee?
If you are not happy with your treatment, you can request a free redo within 48 hours of the original service, or a full refund. Visit our Guarantee page for full details.
How do I leave a review?
After your booking is completed, you will receive an email invitation to review your experience. You can also leave a review from your bookings page. Only clients who completed a booking can leave reviews.
Is my payment secure?
Absolutely. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS-certified payment processor. We never see or store your full card details. Funds are held securely until the service is confirmed complete.
Can I post a job request instead of booking directly?
Yes. Post a request describing what you need (service, location, budget, date preferences) and qualified specialists will send you personalised proposals. You can compare quotes and pick the best match.
For Providers
How do I become a GlowBook provider?
Register as a provider on our sign-up page, fill in your profile with your services, pricing, and portfolio photos. Once you complete identity verification, you will be visible in the marketplace and can start receiving bookings.
What commission does GlowBook charge?
GlowBook charges a platform commission on each completed booking. The current rate is visible in your provider dashboard. The commission covers payment processing, customer support, marketing, and platform maintenance.
How and when do I get paid?
Payments are released to your connected Stripe account after the client confirms the service is complete. Standard payouts are processed on a weekly schedule, though you can request faster payouts from your earnings dashboard.
Can I set my own prices and availability?
Yes. You have full control over your service pricing, availability calendar, working hours, and service areas. You can also set a next-day booking cut-off time to manage last-minute requests.
What if a client cancels or does not show up?
If a client cancels late (within 24 hours), they are charged a cancellation fee which is shared with you. For no-shows, the full booking amount may be charged to the client.
How does verification work?
We verify your identity, professional qualifications, and insurance documents. Once verified, your profile displays a verified badge, which helps build trust with potential clients and typically leads to more bookings.
Account and Privacy
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account Settings and use the 'Request Account Deletion' option in the danger zone. Your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the deletion. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently removed.
Can I download my personal data?
Yes. Visit Account Settings and click 'Download My Data' to export all your personal information as a JSON file. This includes your profile, addresses, bookings, reviews, and preferences.
How do you handle my data?
We are GDPR-compliant and take data privacy seriously. We only collect data necessary to provide our services. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
What cookies does GlowBook use?
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and security, plus optional analytics and marketing cookies that require your consent. You can manage your preferences from our cookie banner or Cookie Policy page.
